Karl Ma Meets the First Cohort of Ma Scholars

In 2016, Karl Ma (B.B.A. 1993) established the Karl C.K. Ma Endowed Graduate Scholarship Fund, along with an expendable fund for immediate use. The purpose of Ma’s gift is to provide need-based support to graduate students from Asia who wish to pursue careers in public service. In September 2017, during a visit to Ann Arbor, Ma met Ph.D. candidates Min Huynh and Hayeon Lee via video chat, as they were both overseas. Ph.D.candidate Kayoung Lee was able to meet Ma in person.
